What are the organisation's main activities?

EDUNET is non-governmental organization founded in Rzeszow by volunteers with experience of teaching. It provides lifelong learning with involvement of people in different ages and particularly seniors. Experts and volunteers organize

seminars and workshops to motivate these people to learn and be included in social life. Learners come together to share also their own knowledge, skills and experiences, to communicate with other people and to learn new skills.

EDUNET offers basic course in social media, course for beginners in ICT, continuing courses in English, meetings with books' authors, field trips to museums and libraries, meetings with experts in culture, history and tourism, handicraft workshops in various forms, such as knitting, flower compositions, creative paper work, origami, ceramic, embroidery, home decor objects, cultural excursions, sport activities like group Nordic walking and other to develop intellectual, manual and social skills among seniors.

What are the organisation's activities in the field of this application?

Another activity - learning in media literacy develops basic computer skills that are the priorities to develop digital competences strongly needed in XXI century. Among many other activities, foundation organize non-formal courses and

meetings with the professionals who teach staff and learners how to use on-line digital platforms for the creation digital materials such as posters, leaflets, presentations etc... We also teach techniques of reading comprehension, reading for specific information, reading for main points to develop critical thinking among seniors. What profiles and age groups of learners are concerned by the organisation’s work?

EDUNET is grass-root organization and mostly work with seniors since the beginning. Beneficiaries belong to inactive women at older age, unemployed at any age, early retired, people with disabilities, seniors with difficult social backgrounds and with low pension income. Most of them presents very low level of education, working in the past in low position jobs. For these groups foundation create actions, that help them to achieve their life goals and cover their expectations in the context of well-being, better life and social inclusion and help to find own place in local community. Many of seniors suffer of loneliness, lack of friends, poverty, illnesses. Their economic and social position is very low. What are the organisation's main activities?

Fondazione provides non-formal learning for adults of high quality in different areas: personal development, professional training and socio-cultural education. NGO wants to reach the training goals set up by European Commission in EU2027 strategy improving lifelong learning, developing quality of education and promoting the mobility of trainers and learners throughout Europe. In this way education is more efficient and all adult learners are trained in order to acquire basic cultural, digital and language skills and competences. Equality, social cohesion, innovation and creativity is promoted in all local activities. Staff members promote learning for seniors over age 60+ to keep them still active to develop their cultural and language interests, to be open-minded and to eliminate intellectual regress. Fondazione Levi-Pelloni was awarded a few times in literature field for promotion of new books.

Fondazione Levi-Pelloni organizes lessons of classical music, art history, organizes study trips to ancient part of Rome and neighborhoods, teaches about artistic and historical knowledge of Rome, presents and advertises new books and their

authors, organizes courses in English language on the different levels, educate in ICT platforms and promote the knowledge about European and Jewish community. NGO organizes meetings and conferences about European Union, closely collaborates with Art and Historical Institutions in Rome providing extra high qualified staff about cultural heritage, provides artistic learning about historical monuments in Rome, participate in performances in ancient Roman and Greek theaters.

Fondazione Levi-Pelloni offers its members and adult learners, mainly seniors, excellent learning activities with the engage of famous prestige noble people as the experts in culture, literature and English language field.

What profiles and age groups of learners are concerned by the organisation’s work?

Since the beginning, the target group of the adult learners are seniors at different age with various level of education, different religion, interest, hobbies, expectations. They come from different sociological background. Some of them are migrants and belong to ethnic minority, some of them belong to Jewish community, many of them are Italian seniors. They face many sociological problems, like, lack of friends, loneliness, educational difficulties, language problems, cultural differences. Fondazione Levi-Pelloni covers their needs providing informal and non-formal learning at many fields. Beneficiaries are interested at ancient Italian culture to getting know artifacts and cultivate Italian traditions. Common language for seniors, in many cases, is English and their need is to develop the language skills to cover own educational aims and protect themselves against dementia.

What are the organisation's main activities?

The Centro Cultural e Desportivo de São José (non-profit NGO) grassroot entity that works as daily house for retired people, seniors. Its main activity is daily work with elderly people over 65 years old. Seniors characterized by their advanced age, poor family support, few financial resources and they need economic, as well as educational, social and psychological support. The institution's main objective is the prevention of social isolation, involve them for local cultural and educational activities from 8 am till 6 pm. every day. Another part of our work is to support families to understand aging, its constraints, how to age actively, and how to properly support the elderly to avoid dementia. The involvement of families and the community has become essential in our work, as a way to prevent loneliness for the elderly and promote quality aging. We have a studio of fun and educational activities with games and group dynamics, where we work on group unity, learning andsocializing.

What are the organisation's activities in the field of this application?

In Centro Cultural seniors share cultural issues, play and learn English. We frequently hold workshops on the favourite activities of our elderly, essentially the oldest and most significant ones. We have the Madeira embroidery classescharacteristic of our island, in which those who know, teach others this art. The works carried out are then displayed and can be purchased. In English language there are English workshops, where seniors learn basic English, and have a good time. It is run by native speaker. For these sessions, young generation are usually invited to work together. Seniors work on culture text about Madeiran traditions what facilitate cultivation of local history, habits. Seniors' involvement creates efficient inclusion activities. Seniors participate also in knitting, painting, decorative classes, as well in many performances acting literature heroes. The main purpose is mentally and physically activation to avoid regress, to protect of loneliness and Alzheimer.

What profiles and age groups of learners are concerned by the organisation’s work?

Our learners are the elderly, divided essentially by their mental and physical abilities. We have elderly people from 65 + years old. They are also grouped according to their interests in the available different educational classes. In terms of mental health, we often denote demotivation and depression and some reluctance to acquire new knowledge. They show fear of learning something new, even if they understand their practical need. Therefore, we need to work more frequently on learning activities.We create games against dementia.In manual work and in recreational activities we find larger and more emotionally available groups. Most still have good learning capacity, and also is able to require the English language skills and communicate with their grandchildren being in UK. The needs of seniors we discover every day and create suitable educational activities according their intellectua comfort, abilities to learn. Our teachers, trainers are flexible in order to suit to seniors needs.
